Elche CF win promotion to LaLiga 1l2l3

Elche CF made sure of their place in LaLiga 1l2l3 after defeating Villarreal B 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs, returning to the second tier of Spanish football after a one-year absence.

The promotion is the crowning achievement of an impressive campaign that saw them finish third in Segunda B Group III with 63 points, 16 wins, 15 draws and only seven defeats. In the play-offs they knocked out Real Murcia, and R. Sporting B before their final showdown with Villarreal B.
