Distinguished victory for RC Celta

ACF Fiorentina 0-1 RC Celta

Eduardo Berizzo's Celta achieved a massive win this Sunday on beating ACF Fiorentina 1-0 at the Artemio Franchi stadium in the first of several friendlies to be played by the LaLiga Santander team on Italian soil. A full-stretch Theo Bongonda managed to get on the end of a low cross in from the right flank halfway through the first half to give the visitors the victory. Both teams created chances in the second half, but the score remained to Celta's advantage and gave them a distinguished win in Florence. 

Melbourne Victory FC 1-0 Atletico Madrid

Atletico finished off their LaLiga World tour with a defeat at the hands of Melbourne Victory. Following their 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur FC in their first match on Thursday, Diego Simeone lined up a team packed with youth products and young players. A goal by Nick Ansell for the home side ended up deciding the outcome. Atletico had the chances to come away with a better result, but it was not to be and the Spanish outfit sustained their first defeat of the pre-season.
