Real Madrid and UD Almería will face one another in the game corresponding to matchday 34 of the Liga BBVA, a clash where both sides will be aiming to take the three points in order to achieve their respective objectives. Only a victory will do for Madrid to keep them in the title fight, while the Andalusian side are looking to remain out of the relegation zone.

Team news

The Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has called up the reserve players Martin Ødegaard, Borja Mayoral and Marcos Llorente due to the absences of the banned players Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal. Furthermore, the Whites will be without Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Luka Modrić who are all injured. Almería will be without Thievy Bifouma and Wellington Silva who are banned as well as Fran Vélez, Fernando Soriano and Míchel Macedo who are out with injuries.

Thoughts from the dugouts

Speaking about the game against his next opponents, the Real Madrid coach stated that his team would be focused "on this match". "They are a side in good form and all of the sides who are fighting not to be relegated, will make things difficult", added Ancelotti.

Sergi Barjuan spoke about what his side needs to do in order to stop their opponents: "We have to continue to show and improve on our style of playing and be really conscientious, and we need to be ready to really run. If Madrid manage to get into position, they make you run".
