Team News:
- Atletico Madrid: Miguel Angel Moya, Augusto Fernandez and Alessio Cerci (all injured); Koke (suspended)
- Malaga CF: Diego Llorente, Miguel Torres, Weligton, Keko, Recio and Charles (all injured)
Match Facts:
Atletico Madrid (5th, 18 pts):
- Diego Simeone's charges are raring to show that their reverse at the hands of Sevilla FC last matchday was just a hiccup and to get back on track right away. They will be confident of doing so against this weekend's opponents, whom they have only lost to once under Simeone in LaLiga Santander, a result that came at La Rosaleda.

- The Atleti attack will be salivating at the prospect of Malaga's visit. Antoine Griezmann has three goals in the four meetings between the clubs since moving to the Spanish capital, while the Andalusians are Fernando Torres's favourite victims at the Calderon – El Niño has struck four times against them in front of his adoring fans – and Kevin Gameiro also boasts four goals against them.
Malaga CF (10th, 12 pts):
- Juande Ramos's men are bidding to find their mojo on the road. They haven't triumphed in any of their last seven games on their travels in the league, drawing three and being beaten in the other four.
- Ramos has a positive record against the Rojiblancos. He has won three of his seven encounters with Atletico in the LaLiga Santander dugouts, collecting two draws and defeats apiece in the other four.
