Matchday 35 of the Liga Adelante has drawn to a close and the teams mark off another weekend on their calendars with all minds firmly focused on achieving the objectives at hand for the end of the season.
The two sides at the top of the division, Deportivo de La Coruña and Eibar, made no mistakes in their respective ties against Mallorca (0-3) and Real Madrid Castilla (0-1). Sitting nine points behind the Galician outfit, Barcelona B came out on top in the Catalan derby against Girona CF (2-1), while Tenerife beat Numancia (3-2), with both sides needing to come back from behind the win.
In mid table Córdoba defeated Hércules. Lugo, Real Zaragoza and Mirandés also triumphed against Ponferradina, Real Jaén and Las Palmas, respectively. The Galicians resoundingly beat the Bierzo outfit 3-0, while the Aragon and Castile León sides won by the smallest of margins at home.
Things have been left wide open at the bottom of the table as a consequence of the wins picked up by Deportivo Alavés and Alcorcón. The Basques got a huge 0-2 victory against Recreativo de Huelva, leaving them just two points away from safety, a place currently held by Hércules, who have 40 points. Meanwhile, the South Madrid side beat Sabadell 3-1 thanks in big part to a fantastic performance from Dani Pacheco.
