Team News:

- Sevilla FC: Nico Pareja, Ever Banega, Beto, Escudero, Kakuta, Carriço and Rami (injured).

- FC Barcelona: Vermaelen, Iniesta, Messi and Rafinha (injured).

Match Facts:

Sevilla FC (16th, 5 points):

- The game against Rayo Vallecano gave the first victory of the course, a turning point that helped Sevilla to leave the last places and to face the upcoming clash against Barcelona with more confidence.

- The plague of injuries being suffered by the team from Sevilla is still the main concern of Unai Emery, who tries to move up with the available squad.

- Sevilla´s intention passes for being strong at home, a strategy that took place last year and that put Barcelona into trouble at the Sanchez-Pizjuan. Despite a 0-2, the locals’ courage allowed to equalize the game.

FC Barcelona (3rd, 15 points):

- If Emery´s main concern are injuries, something similar happens to Luis Enrique. With the notable absences of Messi and Iniesta, after the matches against Las Palmas and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Neymar and Luis Suarez will be in charge of taking the offensive football in Sevilla.

- Sevilla is always a tough opponent at home, but precedents speak in favor of Barcelona. The Catalans have not lost at the Sanchez-Pizjuan since 2006, when the Andalusian team, led by Juande Ramos, won 2-1.

- Barcelona is stalking the lead defended by Villarreal CF. Just one point separates them from the Castellon team, who travels to Valencia to face Levante UD.
