The Cordoba CF training camp was launched in Mumbai on Monday 26 December in conjunction with Lemon Break, BePro Football, LaLiga and the Cordoba City Council. The workshops will come to a close on 30 December, with children given the opportunity to further their technical and tactical understanding of the beautiful game.
Children aged six to 16 took part in various activities at the Lions Club in Santacruz. With Andres Vargas in charge, the youngsters worked on technical skills, with special emphasis on decision making while in possession. They were also able to call on the very latest technology such as a GPS to track players' vital signs and analyse their performances. Video technology was used to display tactical concepts and examine rehearsed pieces of play as well as formations. The children were able to share their first experience with professionals who drilled them in key footballing concepts as well as the values of camaraderie, hard work and teamwork.
The initiative to expand the club's presence is the first step taken in the field of international development that comes under the already patented CCFWorldWide brand, with expansion set to continue in various countries across Latin America and Asia as well as in the United States.
On Monday 26 December, Cordoba vice-president Javier Jimenez and Pedro Garcia, the deputy mayor of the city of Cordoba, presented details of the international project which will instil football values in Mumbai and boost the strength of the Cordoba brand on the international stage.
