A 1-1 draw in Genk was enough to see RC Celta qualify for a European semi-final for the first time in the club's history.
Holding a narrow 3-2 lead from the first leg at Balaidos, Eduardo Berizzo's men travelled to Belgium looking to make history. After an evenly-matched first half it was Celta who made the second-half breakthrough when Pione Sisto beat Genk goalkeeper Mathew Ryan with a powerful shot from the edge of the box on 63 minutes. The home side equalised through Leandro Trossard just minutes later but Celta held on to secure a famous 4-3 aggregate win.
