Celta and Deportivo ready for Galician derby

The LaLiga World tour continues to make history. RC Celta and RC Deportivo, who are both taking part in this great series, are counting down the hours until the kick-off of this legendary derby that takes place today at 17:30 local time (22:30 CET) in Montevideo. The Uruguay Celeste complex hosted both teams for their preparations ahead of this big clash.

"To take part in LaLiga World is a step forward for us. By competing against not just Deportivo, but also teams such as Nacional and Peñarol, we will grow as a team," commented Celta boss Eduardo Berizzo, who believes that the derby is never just another friendly. "Playing against a team like Deportivo demands a great deal of focus from us, because the result means a lot to our fans. This means we have a lot of responsibility in our hands," noted the Argentine coach.

On a similar note, Deportivo coach Gaizka Garitano highlighted the significance of the first Galician derby to take place outside of Spain. "It's strange to play so far from home, but it's also a great experience. We aim to make the most of this week we have in Montevideo," declared the boss of the A Coruña side.
