Betis to take on Qatari national team as part of LaLiga World programme

Real Betis's pre-season planning ahead of the 2016/2017 campaign continues apace, with one of their biggest tests set to take place on Swiss soil. As a part of their participation in the LaLiga World programme, Gustavo Poyet's men will pit their wits against the Qatari national team on Saturday 13 August in the Swiss city of Lucerne.

The clash, which is set to be staged at the Swissporarena, will kick off at 17:30 CET and represents one of the Andalusians' final run-outs before the start of the 2016/17 season. This fixture marks the very first time that a LaLiga outfit travel to Switzerland under the auspices of the LaLiga World initiative.

Betis are participating in the LaLiga World programme for the first time this year, joining a project which seeks to raise the international profile of Spanish clubs.
