Real Betis Balompié has reached an agreement with Club Atlético de Madrid for the loan of Léo Baptistão, who becomes the first new player this winter for the verdiblancos.
The 21-year-old Brazilian striker arrives at the side managed by Juan Carlos Garrido with the intention of rediscovering his form, finding some playing time, and helping the team from Seville escape the relegation zone in the second round of matches. At Atlético, the club he joined last summer after an impressive season at Rayo Vallecano, Baptistão has played five Liga BBVA matches.
"I am joining a great club with fantastic fans. I am happy and looking forward to getting down to work and helping the team in every way I can", stated the player, who will join the team in training on Saturday.
