- Lucas Alcaraz's charges will have taken heart from the manner of their narrow defeat away to FC Barcelona last matchday. They will be bidding to build on their performance in the Catalan capital by finally clinching their first win of the season in front of the Los Carmenes crowd, who have been starved of joy this term but are sure to really get behind their team if they gain the upper hand.
- Another good omen for Granada is their record against Deportivo, whom they haven't lost to in the league since a 2-0 reverse at Riazor way back in 1972. The last eight LaLiga meetings between the sides have yielded four victories for the Andalusians and four draws.
RC Deportivo (17th, 9 pts)
- The Galicians got a point against Valencia CF last time out and are intent on pulling away from the drop zone by beating the basement boys.
- Summer signing Emre Colak opened his account for Depor against Valencia and is in line to start again this weekend.
