The home side are looking to maintain their place outside the relegation zone, a position they have achieved having won their last two games. However, in front of them is a Real Madrid side looking to take advantage of FC Barcelona’s defeat to increase their advantage at the top of the league.

Elche will be without Pedro Mosquera, who has a knee injury. Meanwhile, Madrid are without the injured quintet of Sergio Ramos, James Rodríguez, Sami Khedira, Luka Modrić and Fabio Coentrão.
