SÁB 25.10.2014

The countdown for El Clásico is over. Real Madrid and Barcelona, third and first in Liga BBVA respectively will go at it in the ninth round of the championship looking to make a statement against their arch rival.

Team news

Without Fábio Coentrão, Jesé Rodríguez and Gareth Bale, the Whites will be looking to impress in attack to take the three points. With an average of five goals per game in their last five, Carlo Ancelotti’s men host a Barcelona side that is yet to lose in Liga BBVA this season. They go into the game with a multitude of new faces, including the potential derby of Luis Suárez.

View from the dugout

The Real Madrid coach, conscious of what the Clásico takes out on players said: "Planning for the game is easy because we know each other well, but we have to try and play our football". The pressure that the game brings does not scare Luis Enrique, who assured that his side would come out “with the same footballing idea” that they have had up until now: "to go for the game from the off, taking control and deserving the win".
