Gonzalez strikes early
With barely eight minutes on the clock, SD Eibar youngster, Adrian Gonzalez, handed the hosts an early lead. The midfielder pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the area following a corner to swivel and fire home. Sergi Enrich and Borja Baston - with an acrobatic attempt - sought to double the hosts' advantage, but both efforts came to nothing.
Lucas Perez leads the Depor charge
Although the Galicians were slow to get out of the blocks, they grew into the game and the visitors began to pose a threat after the 30-minute mark, with RC Deportivo's number 7 taking the game by the scruff of the neck on a mission to claw his side back into it. In the most guilt-edged opening before the break, Eibar goalkeeper, Asier Riesgo, proved himself equal to Fede Cartabia's shot.

Fast-paced second half
Both sides came out after the interval looking rejuvenated and this served up a rip-roaring opening to the second period, which featured chances at both ends. An Eibar free-kick whipped in by Izet Hajrovic and a Laure effort for Deportivo were the closest that either side came to troubling the scoreline.
Cartabia levels it for Deportivo
He'd been trying to get his name on the scoresheet all game and eventually he managed it. The Argentine had been a constant thorn in the Ameros backline and was on hand to side-foot home and draw his side level, after some fine build-up play from Sidnei. This result sees both sides move a point closer in their bids to mathematically secure La Liga survival.
