Jan Oblak has received the award for the Best Save in LALIGA EA SPORTS in December. The Atlético Madrid goalkeeper made one of the saves of the year against Girona at Montilivi. Although the Rojiblancos ended up winning 0-3, this save was crucial in securing this comfortable victory.
In the 23rd minute of the match, Atlético were winning 0-1 and Axel Witsel had a chance to score the equaliser after taking advantage of a rebound inside the area. The shot was hard and very close to the goal, but Oblak used his left hand with the necessary force to repel the ball almost under the goal line.
Atlético Madrid's number 13 wins the LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Save award for the second time this season, beating Iñaki Peña (Elche CF) and Leo Román (RCD Mallorca) in the final vote. Oblak, who already won this same trophy in October 2025, succeeds David Soria, who won this award in November. He is the only goalkeeper to have won the award twice this season.
