MIÉ 12.11.2025

The great match between Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona pits two of the most successful teams in Spanish and European football against each other, with extensive histories of triumphs and achievements on the pitch. The colchoneros and culés are always contenders for the highest honours and have experienced historic duels that have sometimes gone down to the wire in search of major trophies.

How many League titles does Atlético de Madrid have?

Atlético de Madrid is the third most decorated team in Spanish football. The rojiblancos have won LALIGA EA SPORTS on 11 occasions, adding 10 Copa del Rey titles. Their national trophy haul is completed by two Spanish Super Cup trophies.

At the international level, the colchoneros have lifted a total of nine titles, eight of them continental. Their trophy cabinets feature 3 editions of the Europa League, 1 Cup Winners' Cup, 3 European Super Cups, and 1 UEFA Intertoto Cup. Added to this is 1 Intercontinental Cup, won in 1974. In total, 32 titles.

How many League titles does FC Barcelona have?

FC Barcelona is the second most decorated team in Spanish football and one of the most prestigious on the European continent. Their museum's trophy cases are led by 5 Champions League titles (4 of them in the last 20 years). Added to these are 28 editions of LALIGA EA SPORTS, 32 Copas del Rey, and 15 Spanish Super Cups at the national level.

Internationally, they have also won 3 Club World Cups, 4 editions of the now-defunct Super Cup, 3 of the equally defunct Fairs Cup, and 5 European Super Cups. In total, 20 international trophies.

Other titles include 2 League Cups and 2 Latin Cups, making a total of 96 titles, to which smaller trophies such as the Fairs Super Cup (1), Eva Duarte Cup (3), and various regional tournaments can be added.

Atlético de Madrid's Last Title

Atlético de Madrid's last title dates back to 2021, and it was precisely LALIGA EA SPORTS. Cholo Simeone's team secured the championship by accumulating 86 points, compared to Real Madrid's 84. FC Barcelona, managed by Ronald Koeman, was third with 79.

The colchoneros' penultimate league title also remains in history. In the 2013/14 season, Simeone's team lifted LALIGA EA SPORTS by drawing against FC Barcelona (1-1) on the final matchday at the Camp Nou. Godín scored the rojiblanco goal, which prevented the culé title (90 points versus 87).

FC Barcelona's Last Title

The culé trophy cabinet was last expanded in May with the achievement of their 28th LALIGA EA SPORTS title, the first with Hansi Flick. This capped a season in which the culés had previously won the Spanish Super Cup, against Real Madrid (2-5), and the Copa del Rey, also against Real Madrid (3-2).
