Arda Güler, LALIGA EA SPORTS U23 Player of the Month for September 25/26

Arda Güler has been named LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Under-23 Player in September, an award presented by LALIGA in partnership with Riyadh Season. The Turkish player has become a key part of Xabi Alonso's plans at Real Madrid, and this month he confirmed his status with several brilliant performances that helped Los Blancos secure three wins in the four games they played in September.

Güler started the month by scoring a great goal in the 2-1 win over Real Sociedad, which helped his team secure three hard-fought points. That win was followed by further victories, 2-0 against RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and 4-1 against Levante UD, in a match in which the Turkish player was once again one of the standout performers, also providing an assist. Real Madrid ended the month with a 5-2 defeat to Atlético de Madrid in a derby in which Güler also scored a fine goal.

Real Madrid's number 15 wins this award for the second time, having also won it in December last season. Güler beat Fermín López (FC Barcelona), Javi Guerra (Valencia CF), Carlos Álvarez (Levante UD) and Martim Neto (Elche CF) in the final vote, succeeding Getafe CF's Adrián Liso, who won the trophy in August.
