Sunday, 8 May. 17:00 CET. The Liga BBVA brings us the first 'championship point' in the title race with three teams in the running. FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid face their most decisive matchday thus far.
The Azulgranas head into the weekend on 85 points perched at the top of the table. The Rojiblancos are level on points with the leaders, in second place but brimming with hope. Madrid, in third, are on 84 points and cannot afford to slip up either. Their chances are slim, but the combinations and statistics give them something to cling onto.
For the time being, there is only one possible equation which would allow Barcelona to proclaim themselves champions this Sunday: for Luis Enrique's men to win against RCD Espanyol, Atletico to lose to Levante UD, and Madrid to draw or lose against Valencia CF. If that happens, Barcelona will lift their 24th league trophy.
Who has the 'easiest' title run in now?

Barcelona are the only team who can secure the title this Sunday. However, if Barça do not beat Espanyol this weekend, they can still claim the trophy on the final matchday. In either case, Atletico and Madrid must wait until the very last game of the season.
