Oscar Gonzalez (Salamanca, 12 November 1982) has been named Best Liga Adelante Midfielder of the 2014/15 season. At 32 years the player from Salamanca led Valladolid through all season with his scoring touch, since despite playing in midfield his offensive nature allowed him to score up 16 goals in the 39 games he played. Many of these 16 goals served to open the score in tough matches.
In addition to his scoring contribution, Oscar gave 13 assists, which made him one of the players that gave more assists in Liga Adelante season. Oscar has been showing his football in LaLiga for over 12 years, whereas last season was in which he scored most goals and most minutes played.
A mix of courage, class, wisdom and experience are the ingredients of Oscar´s football. His place on the pitch is the core of midfield, but in order to defend the colors of his club is capable to put the team on his back as he showed last season.
With his splendid season, perhaps one of the best of his career, and the good work of all the Real Valladolid, the "Vallisoletanos" reached the play-offs for promotion to the highest national category, after being for much of the year at the top of the table.
