In the previous edition of LaLiga's Ultimate Xpert, fans were asked in which year SD Huesca were promoted to LaLiga Santander, and many fans from different parts of the world were able to come up with the right answer.
For this matchday featuring El Clasico, we bring them a new challenge with a question about Real Madid. One of our ambassadors and former Merengue, Fernando Morientes, will have us thinking back to his career at the capital club.
Morientes donned the Real Madrid shirt for a total of eight seasons, a fact many will be familiar with. However, can they tell us which opponent the former player scored five goals against in a single match? Clearly Morientes became a goalscorer with a fantastic trophy record with the club.
Fans of LaLiga Santander continue to take part in the contest on a weekly basis through the campaigns run by the competition's international broadcasters.
DIRECTV joined the contest last week with a powerful and original campaign allowing its subscribers to win a "mystery box" by taking part in a quiz for the top LaLiga Santander experts on a specially-designed landing page on its website. The contest is also being promoted on its social media channels via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Chile, as well as on its regional (Ranking DIRECTV Sports, Futbol Total) and local programming (“De Futbol Se Habla Asi UY”, “Oro y Carbon”, “Triconectados” and “Punto de Partida”).
To give the activation maximum visibility, the network's top pundits have got involved in the action, together with the clubs which DIRECTV has sponsorship agreements with.
Meanwhile, Setanta Sports, has been holding weekly contests since Matchday 12 on its "Setanta Sports 1" TV channel and on its Facebook and Instagram profiles. LaLiga fans in the Baltic countries are fast becoming experts on the competition, replying to the broadcaster's posts with their answers and mentioning their friends to take home exclusive prizes. They have already launched this week's question about Real Madrid.
