A goal, two assists, a win and the best LaLiga Fantasy performance by a central midfielder so far this season. Koke showcased some of his best football to notch up 25 points out on the pitch at the RCDE Stadium last Saturday. 25 points which saw him crowned the best LaLiga Fantasy player of Matchday 32.
The Atletico Madrid central midfielder was on song in setting up Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann for their goals. Two assists worth six points, three for each goal. However, he capped an impressive performance and his team's comeback when he made it 3-1 on 89 minutes and added another five LaLiga Fantasy points to his tally. On top of that, he also notched up points for winning the ball back and reaching the opposition's area on numerous occasions… (breakdown featured below).
As many as 34,496 LaLiga Fantasy managers have Koke in their squad, a decision that saw them add 25 points to their tally. However, Koke's world-class performance was not a one-off. The Atletico man is currently the leading midfield points scorer for the season. Koke has notched up 305 points from his 29 Liga BBVA appearances this season. He is a solid investment at an average of 10.5 points per game.
Koke's 25 points saw him sneak past the 24 points picked up by Jony in Real Sporting's win over Las Palmas in Matchday 12, which had been the best points tally by a central midfielder for the season. The likes of James, Marco Asensio and Dani Parejo have come close, but Koke has set the bar high with 25 points. Can anyone beat him?
