At just 16 years of age, José García of CA Osasuna, has made his first appearance on the first squad team-sheet for the clash with UD Almería on matchday thirteen of the Liga BBVA.

The player from Navarre trained with the senior team for the first time on Tuesday and the manager has decided to give him his break by including him in the list of 18 players who are to take on the Andalusian side on Friday in El Sadar. "He is playing well enough in the lower ranks to deserve a chance. It is true that he is 16 years old and that he is still very young, but we have had to look further down and we need him", recognised the coach Javi Gracia in a press conference.

Those who have seen him play say that he is a very talented attacking midfielder with physical presence and a gift for setting up strikers. He is also a natural leader in the reserve team, which goes some way to explaining the level of maturity that has allowed him to take the step up to the first team. García may not feature in the match against Almería, but this Friday will undoubtedly be a childhood dream come true, despite the fact that he is still only 16 years old.
