JUE 27.11.2025

As in every major match, the doubts in the days leading up to the game primarily focus on the line-ups the contenders will present. Hansi Flick and Diego Pablo Simeone will look to make a statement. The azulgranas want to continue putting pressure on Real Madrid, and the colchoneros aim to move even closer to the top of the table.

Which players will the German and the Argentine field? Both Flick and Simeone need their fittest players to face the demanding duel. They will be putting part of their aspirations on the line.

Clément Lenglet, the latest.

The French centre-back is the latest example of transfers between the culés and the colchoneros. He arrived at FC Barcelona in 2018 after two seasons at Sevilla FC and wore the azulgrana shirt for four seasons, winning LALIGA EA SPORTS once. In 2024, after two previous loan spells at Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, he joined Atlético de Madrid, also on loan.

João Félix

The Portuguese forward was one of Atlético de Madrid's most notable signings in 2019. He played under Diego Pablo Simeone for four seasons (winning LALIGA in 2021) and was loaned to FC Barcelona in 2023 after a prior spell at Chelsea FC. In 2024, he parted ways with the club.

Memphis Depay

The  striker signed for FC Barcelona in 2021. He spent a season and a half at the Camp Nou (participating in the LALIGA title in 2023) before, in January 2023, swapping FC Barcelona for Atlético de Madrid. He left the Madrid club in July 2024.

Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero

The Argentine forward arrived at Atlético de Madrid in 2006 and left for Manchester City in 2011. Ten years later, in 2021, he joined FC Barcelona, but could barely play, as a heart arrhythmia forced him to retire.

Luis Suárez

Among the players who have been at both clubs recently, he is the only one to leave a mark at both. The Uruguayan arrived at FC Barcelona in 2014 and, as a culé, won LALIGA four times, one Champions League, and four editions of the Copa del Rey, among other titles. In 2020, he moved to Atlético de Madrid and there he achieved his fifth LALIGA EA SPORTS title, in 2021.

Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann has spent his entire career in LALIGA. He debuted at Real Sociedad and in 2014 signed for Atlético de Madrid, with whom he won a Europa League (2018). In 2019, he was one of FC Barcelona's star signings, but only lasted two seasons, winning a Copa del Rey (2021). In 2021, he returned to the Metropolitano on loan and in 2022 the clubs agreed on a transfer.

Arda Turan

The Turk arrived at Atlético de Madrid in 2011 and, after winning a Copa (2013) and LALIGA EA SPORTS in 2014, he signed for FC Barcelona in 2015. His performance as a FC Barcelona player was not as good, and despite winning LALIGA in 2016 and two Copas (2016 and 2017), he left in 2017.

David Villa

A legend of Spanish football who, after spells at Sporting de Gijón, Real Zaragoza, and Valencia CF, signed for FC Barcelona in 2010. As a culé, he won LALIGA EA SPORTS twice (2011 and 2013), one Copa del Rey (2012), and one Champions League (2011) before signing for Atlético in 2013. As a colchonero, David Villa won LALIGA EA SPORTS again in 2014. That same summer, he signed for New York City.

Luis García

He experienced his best playing spell at Liverpool FC (2004-2007), but previously played for Atlético (2002-2003) and FC Barcelona (2003-2004). After his time with the English team, he returned to Atlético, staying for two seasons (2007-2009).

Thiago Motta

Thiago was trained at La Masía and debuted with FC Barcelona in 2001, staying until 2007, with two LALIGA titles (2005 and 2006) and one Champions League (2006) to his name. In 2007, he signed for Atlético de Madrid, where he remained until 2008.

Simao Sabrosa

The current Juventus coach was trained at La Masía and debuted with FC Barcelona in 2001, staying until 2007, with two LALIGA titles (2005 and 2006) and one Champions League (2006) to his name. In 2007, he signed for Atlético de Madrid, where he remained until 2008.

Sergi Barjuán

The Portuguese winger arrived at FC Barcelona in 1999 and left in 2001. Six years later, in 2007, he arrived at Atlético de Madrid, where he played three seasons and won a Europa League (2010).

Members of Johan Cruyff's Dream Team

Several legends of Johan Cruyff's Dream Team played for Atlético de Madrid before arriving at FC Barcelona. This is the case for Eusebio Sacristán, Julio Salinas, and Juan Carlos Rodríguez. The Castilian midfielder previously played for Atlético de Madrid (between 1987 and 1988) and as a culé (1988-1995) won LALIGA EA SPORTS four times (1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994), one Copa (1990), one Cup Winners' Cup (1989), and one Champions League (1992). Julio Salinas won the same titles, being a culé from 1988 to 1994 and having coincided with Eusebio at the Manzanares (1986-1988). With both already as culés, the defender from León, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, arrived at Atlético, being a colchonero from 1989 to 1991 and a culé between 1991 and 1994. In three seasons as a culé, he won LALIGA three times (1992, 1993, and 1994) and one Champions League (1992).

Julio Alberto

The Asturian spent almost his entire professional career between Atlético de Madrid (1977-1982) and FC Barcelona (1982-1991). As a culé, he retired after winning two LALIGA titles (1985 and 1991), three Copas (1983, 1988, and 1990), and a Cup Winners' Cup (1989).

Bernd Schuster

The German midfielder played for all three of Spain's biggest clubs, arriving in Spain with FC Barcelona (1980-1988) and ending up at Atlético de Madrid (1990-1993) after two seasons at Real Madrid. As a culé, he won one LALIGA (1985) and three Copas (1981, 1983, and 1988), and as a colchonero, the Copas of 1991 and 1992.

Marcos Alonso Peña

Father of the current RC Celta player and son of the Marcos Alonso of the Real Madrid “yeye era”, he played for Atlético de Madrid between 1979 and 1982. He then signed for FC Barcelona and stayed until 1987 before playing two more seasons for the colchonero team. He won a Copa (1983) and LALIGA EA SPORTS in 1985 with FC Barcelona.

Miguel Reina

The goalkeeper, father of Pepe Reina, defended both goals for long periods. From 1966 to 1973 he was the goalkeeper for FC Barcelona and between 1973 and 1980, for Atlético de Madrid. He won two Copas (1968 and 1971) as a culé and one Copa (1976) and LALIGA in 1977 as a colchonero. He was also the LALIGA least-conceded goalkeeper (Trofeo Zamora) wearing both jerseys.

Other Players
