CD Tenerife - UD Las Palmas (Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium, 12 noon)

The Canary Islands derby will be one of the highlights of the Sunday in the Liga Adelante. The two teams are in very different situations in the table, with the Chicharreros on just four points, while their opponents are leaders and still unbeaten. Álvaro Cervera, the home side’s manager, knows what the game against Las Palmas will entail: "We’ll have to work very hard, as we always do". Paco Herrera, the visiting boss, meanwhile, will be able to call on his star player, Sergio Araujo, who returns from an ankle injury. "You have to give it 100% in this kind of game. In a derby there are no favourites", said the visiting manager.

CD Numancia - Girona FC (New Los Pajaritos Stadium, 5 pm)

Girona visit Los Pajaritos aiming to get back to winning ways in the competition. To do so, they must beat a Numancia that have yet to win at home this season. Pablo Machín, the current manager of the Catalan side and former captain of the Sorian team, said it will be: "a 10 out of 10 game in terms of commitment and attitude".

Real Sporting de Gijón - Real Valladolid CF (El Molinón Stadium, 5 pm)

Two historic clubs of Spanish football will lock horns on matchday 6 of the Liga Adelante. The two teams have not faced each other in the Liga Adelante since 27 January 2007, when Valladolid took the three points. Carlos Castro, replacing Álex Serrano, is the new addition to the Asturian matchday squad. Rubí, the Pucelano manager, will be without injured wingers Jeffrén Suárez and Omar. "We’re going to El Molinón looking for the win, because we’re not a team that settles for draws", said the visiting manager.

RCD Mallorca - FC Barcelona B (Iberostar Stadium, 5 pm)

The Bermellones will attempt to turn around their season after the first five matchdays and claim their first win of the season against an Azulgrana side that won three games on the trot before their defeat to UE Llagostera at the Miniestadi last weekend. Pedro Bigas will be absent for Mallorca, while Sergio Juste will be the only player unavailable to manager Eusebio Sacristán for Barcelona B.

AD Alcorcón - CD Leganés (Santo Domingo, 6 pm)

In this Madrid derby the two teams are level-pegging as the go into an unprecedented fixture in the Liga Adelante. Both sides, with six points in the competition, will fight to take a step forward and position themselves in a less uncomfortable part of the table. "We haven’t started well at home, we’ve had two defeats, and we want to change this pattern for the team, for us and for the fans", said José Bordalás. The visiting manager, Asier Garitano, mentioned his team’s form on the road: “I hope the team improves away from home”.

Real Betis Balompié - CD Mirandés (Benito Villamarín Stadium, 6.15 pm)

Betis and Mirandés face each other in the final game of the Sunday session in the Liga Adelante. The Verdiblancos will look for their fourth victory of the season in the Liga Adelante against a Rojillos side that travel to Seville without Razak Brimah and Urko Vera, and with words of encouragement from manager Carlos Terrazas going into the clash: "We have a good chance to get a positive result in Seville".
