On Monday at 13:30 at the Liga de Fútbol Profesional headquarters (C/Hernández de Tejada, 10) the LFP will present its campaign for the fight against audiovisual fraud. The president of the Superior Sports Council, Miguel Cardenal, the president of Club Atlético de Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, Rayo Vallecano manager, Paco Jémez, and Javier Tebas, President of the LFP, as well as representatives of other clubs and SADs (Public Limited Sports Companies), will explain the reasons behind the initiative.

Piracy is one of football's biggest issues. The practice, which is wrong, illegal and now persecuted by the law, seriously damages the interests of the clubs and all those who work in our sport.

It is the Liga de Fútbol Profesional's responsibility to persecute and denounce piracy. Therefore, the LFP is appealing to what the fans love the most: their clubs. Because of piracy, football is more expensive, stadiums are not full and there are fewer season-ticket holders who watch football legally. The clubs lose the potential to have the best players and to compete with the best.

The campaign for the fight against audiovisual fraud being presented today shows scenes in which supporters commit fouls on their own team's players. The message the Liga de Fútbol Profesional seeks to convey to those who contribute to football piracy is that by doing so they are actually harming their team and its competitiveness.

Through initiatives on television, radio, social networks and in the stadiums themselves, the Liga de Fútbol Profesional wants to remind fans that 'By contributing to piracy in football, you are harming your team'.
