Jon Bautista named LaLiga SmartBank Player of the Month for March

Jon Bautista has received the LaLiga SmartBank Player of the Month award for March. The SD Eibar forward made a sterling contribution to his team going unbeaten in the month, as they secured three wins and a draw to put them at the front of the pack in the competition on 63 points.

The 27-year-old from Menorca played a decisive role in Los Armeros’ three victories, providing the final pass for the only goal of the game against CD Tenerife. A week later, he snagged the only goal in the game against Burgos CF, before capping a fantastic month with two more assists and the winning strike in Eibar’s comeback away to CD Mirandes at Anduva.00

The Eibar number 18 takes over the reins from Deportivo Alaves’s Luis Roja, who won the award in February. The shortlist for this month also included Myrto Uzuni for Granada CF and Raul Garcia de Haro for CD Mirandes, but it was Bautista who clinched it in the final voting.
