LaLiga launches mini football pitch through a collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent in Dakar, Senegal

To further boost Africa’s growing love of football internationally, LaLiga has, in partnership with the Turkish Red Crescent, created a mini football pitch at the Roosevelt Kindergarten which aims to educate and provide an immersive football environment to the children of Senegal.

The project has been designed for children between the ages of 3 and 6, creating a positive experience through combining football, play, and education. A professional football grassroot coach will provide the teachers with tailored and personalized courses on the pitch so they can implement it with the children. Through this project, LaLiga reiterates its commitment to education and the transmission of positive values, leaving a lasting legacy and a permanent impact on the lives of children.

 “I believe that such a valuable partnership between LaLiga and the Turkish Red Crescent shows that no matter what field we work in we can collaborate to create goodness and help people. This project will provide the children of Roosevelt Kindergarten with a healthier environment in which to practice football, the sport they love, and thus give them the chance to grow up as healthy individuals, remember what their elders did for them and do the same for their children. I really am proud with our work and hope this collaboration will extend to as many children as possible,” commented Abdullah Kaya Turkish Red Crescent country representative.

 “It is extremely important to give back to the community and do it in such a way that will benefit many children for years to come. This project will do exactly that. LaLiga will bring joy to the children at Roosevelt Kindergarten and instil the positive values of football,” said Ramata Thiam Diaw, LaLiga delegate in Senegal. “As football continues to grow, we want to see more children playing and learning about the sport.”

With these types of initiatives, LaLiga is encouraging and educating future African young talents to learn, enjoy and showcase their talent, an experience that will potentially change their life forever.
