The 33rd PAMESA LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament kicks off in Vila-real

The U12 competition, bringing together academy sides from all 20 LALIGA EA SPORTS clubs, was officially inaugurated on Thursday evening ahead of three days of action at the Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA.

Vila-real, 4 June 2026.- The 33rd PAMESA LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament will kick off this Friday at the Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA in Vila-real, home of LALIGA EA SPORTS club Villarreal CF, bringing together U12 academy teams from each of the 20 clubs competing in LALIGA EA SPORTS this season.

The inauguration event took place on Thursday evening in Vila-real and featured, among others, José Ramón de la Morena, president of the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation and founder of the tournament; Fernando Roig Alfonso, president of Villarreal CF; and Iker Casillas, LALIGA and Real Madrid legend.

The event was the official curtain-raiser for one of the most high-profile and prestigious competitions in youth football, not only in Spain but also worldwide, which will once again offer fans a first glimpse of the next generation of talent from LALIGA EA SPORTS academies.

Three decades on from its first edition, LALIGA FC FUTURES has established itself as one of the leading reference tournaments in grassroots football worldwide. Over the years, the competition has been one of the first stages on which some of the biggest names in international football began to shine, including Xavi Hernández, Santi Cazorla, Andrés Iniesta, Fernando Torres, Gerard Piqué, Cesc Fàbregas, Gavi, Dean Huijsen and Lamine Yamal, among many others.

The 20 participating teams have been drawn into the following groups:

·        Group A: Real Madrid, Athletic Club, Getafe CF, Real Sociedad, Levante UD

·        Group B: Real Betis, RCD Espanyol, Celta, Girona FC, RCD Mallorca

·        Group C: FC Barcelona, Valencia CF, Rayo Vallecano, Deportivo Alavés, Real Oviedo

·        Group D: Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal CF, Sevilla FC, CA Osasuna, Elche CF

The competition will begin on Friday 5 June at 10:00 CEST, with the group stage taking place throughout the day. The Round of 16 will kick off on Saturday 6 June at 10:00 CEST, before the quarter-finals are played later that evening from 18:00 CEST. The decisive matches will be played on Sunday 7 June, with the semi-finals beginning at 10:00 CEST, followed by the third/fourth-place play-off at 12:30 CEST and the final at 13:00 CEST.

The 33rd PAMESA LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament will be broadcast live in Spain on Movistar+, DAZN, GOL, LALIGA TV BAR, LALIGA HYPERMOTION TV and LALIGA+. Internationally, it will be available via LALIGA’s international channel, the official LALIGA+ OTT, as well as on LALIGA’s official YouTube, Facebook, X, Twitch and TikTok accounts. In China, coverage will also be available on Bilibili and Weibo. Fans will also be able to follow updates across LALIGA’s social media platforms using the hashtag #LALIGAFCFUTURES.

The tournament, organised by LALIGA, the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation and Villarreal CF, will once again have PAMESA as its main sponsor, with EA SPORTS, Solán de Cabras, PUMA and Moeve collaborating as official sponsors.
