On 9 June, the Juegaterapia Club in Madrid hosted a very special esports day organised by LALIGA FC PRO and the Juegaterapia Foundation, in which children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment enjoyed a unique experience alongside some of the most prominent Pro Players in the official EA SPORTS FC competition.
Throughout the afternoon, the Juegaterapia Club was transformed into a space for competition, learning and fun, where participants were able to share their passion for video games with Pollichris, Albertovk and Yagofawaz. The activity gave the young attendees an insight into the professional world of esports through a variety of dynamics tailored to their ages and interests.
The day unfolded across different areas of the Juegaterapia Club. While one group took part in a tournament specially designed for the attendees, others enjoyed gaming sessions alongside the Pro Players in the gamer zone, where they were able to exchange experiences, receive personalised tips and learn new strategies to improve their performance in EA SPORTS FC 26.
Beyond the competition itself, the event became an opportunity to spend time together, create memories and foster a sense of community in an environment designed to allow children and adolescents to keep enjoying the things they love most while undergoing treatment.
As a memento of the day, all participants received official LALIGA FC PRO merchandise. In addition, the tournament finalists were awarded personalised controllers, and attendees took part in the signing of an official LALIGA ball, which will be displayed at the Juegaterapia Club as a symbol of this shared experience.

Lara Smirnova, Head of Gaming at the Juegaterapia Club, added that "many of the children and adolescents who take part in the Club's activities are huge football fans, but due to their treatments or periods of hospitalisation they are not always able to enjoy it as they would like. Being able to spend an afternoon playing EA SPORTS FC 26 alongside professional players, learning from them and feeling part of such a special experience fills them with joy. These are moments that allow them to forget about their illness for a while and live something they will remember for a long time."
