PUMA and LALIGA have unveiled the exclusive design of the official match ball that will be used for both ELCLÁSICO fixtures this season between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Featuring a bespoke design, the ball combines cutting-edge performance with a distinctive visual identity created specifically to reflect the intensity and legacy of this iconic fixture.
The new design will make its on-pitch debut at the Spotify Camp Nou in the first ELCLÁSICO of the season on 25 October at 9pm CET, during Matchday 10 of LALIGA EA SPORTS. Its design combines bold, dynamic shapes and vibrant colours with subtle retro-inspired graphics, paying tribute to the rich history and legendary rivalry between the two clubs while seamlessly bringing together tradition and modern football culture.
Designed to deliver optimal performance at the very highest level, the ball retains the elite technical specifications of the official LALIGA 2026/27 match ball. Its seamless eight-panel construction provides optimised aerodynamics, ensuring an ultra-stable and precise flight path.
The 1.1 mm 3D-textured polyurethane (PU) surface provides enhanced grip, superior touch and greater responsiveness in all weather conditions. The ball has been manufactured using advanced high-frequency technology to ensure it retains its shape and delivers exceptional durability, even under the most demanding conditions. FIFA Quality Pro certified, it meets the highest standards required by professional footballers around the world.
A ball for a match of stars
ELCLÁSICO once again brings together some of the world’s best footballers on the same pitch. This edition will feature seven Ballon d’Or nominees — Marc Cucurella, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Rodri, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí — further underlining the unique appeal of a fixture that brings together sponsors, broadcasters, media and fans from around the world. During the 2025/26 season alone, more than 1,200 media accreditations were processed across the two ELCLÁSICO fixtures. An extraordinary stage deserves a ball to match: an exclusive edition created for the fixture where the stars once again align.
