Griezmann
The start of the game was starred by Antonie Griezmann. The French striker left great manners on Sánchez Pizjuán´s pitch and was the main offensive reference of Atletico. In a start marked by the intensity of both teams, the French took the pause in the "rojiblanco" side and was instrumental in the first goal for his team.
Koke's Goal
Sevilla took the initiative in the early stages of the game, but soon Atlético got the pulse of the match and proved to be more settled on the field. After several dangerous arrivals, Koke appeared to take advantage of a great action by Griezmann. The "rojiblanco" homegrown hunted a ball in the box to beat Beto on the right.
Llorente
Fernando Llorente was the most-awaited man in Seville since his arrival last Thursday. Unai Emery decided to place him in the starting lineup and the striker was a constant danger for Atletico in the heading balls, but could not manage to find the net.
Oblak, decisive
Sevilla´s persistence against Atleti´s goal had a great response by Oblak. The Slovenian is fully seated in Atletico´s goal and completed a great game, frustrating Sevilla´s forwards. With several saves of merit and providing a needed security, the goalkeeper carved the attacks of his opponents.
Gabi's finisher
In the second half, Sevilla overturned to Atletico´s area, and for several minutes they locked them in their own field. However, in a single action, Gabi put the sentence on the scoreboard. The Atletico skipper hit a great shot from outside the area that hit to a Sevilla defender misleading Beto.
Great finish by Jackson
Diego Pablo Simeone opted for Fernando Torres in the starting lineup and left Jackson Martinez on the bench. The Colombian entered in the second half and quickly showed their quality with a goal from outside the area that slipped into Beto´s top corner and sealed the large win over Sevilla.
