Hereinafter, all these environments are grouped under the name “LaLiga Environment”.

In compliance with Article 10 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, Ley de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información y Comercio Electrónico (LSSICE) [Law on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce], we provide the identity details of the provider of the service below.

Holder: The Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (hereinafter, “LaLiga”) is a private-law Sports Association, by virtue of the provisions laid down under Articles 12 and 41 of the Ley del Deporte [Law 10/1990, of 15 October, on Sport], which exclusively and compulsorily comprises all Public Limited Sports Companies and Clubs taking part in official football competitions on a national level, of a professional nature. LaLiga is registered with number 1 in the Professional Leagues section of the Record Book of Sports Associations of the Higher Sports Council.

2. Acceptance of conditions of use

The User is bound to use the contents offered on LaLiga’s Environment (the “Contents”) in a diligent, correct and licit way. In particular, the User undertakes to refrain from doing the following: (a) using the Contents in a manner, with purposes or effects contrary to the law, morals or generally-accepted good practices or to public order; (b) reproducing or copying, distributing, allowing public access through any public communication means, transforming or modifying the Contents, save as authorised by the holder of the corresponding rights or where this is legally permitted; (c) suppressing, eluding or manipulating the copyright, and remaining identity details.

The use of LaLiga’s Environment by a third party makes such person a User and involves the full acceptance by such User of each and every one of the conditions set forth under the Legal Notice.

3. Conditions of use of LaLiga’s Environment

The User undertakes to use LaLiga’s Environment in agreement with the Law, this Legal Notice and the remaining notices, regulations of use and instructions provided to it, and in agreement with morals and generally-accepted good practices and public order.

The User undertakes to use the Contents diligently, correctly and legally and, especially, it undertakes to refrain from the following: (a) using the Contents in a form, for purposes or with effects contrary to the law, morals or generally-accepted good practices or public order; (b) reproducing or copying, distributing, allowing public access through any public communication means, transforming or modifying the Contents, save as authorised by the holder of the corresponding rights or where this is legally permitted; (c) suppressing, eluding or manipulating the copyright and remaining identity details.

Any advertising or commercial information sent directly without due authorisation or concealment of the sending of mass emails (spamming) is prohibited.

The User undertakes not to introduce any programmes, viruses, macros, applets, ActiveX controls or any other logical devices or sequence of characters, causing or likely to cause any type of alteration of the computer systems of LaLiga or of third parties.

4. Responsibility and Liability

4.1. Responsibility for the Use of LaLiga’s Environment

The User is solely responsible for the breaches it may incur or the damages it may cause due to the use of LaLiga’s Environment, and LaLiga, its group companies, collaborators, employees and representatives, shall be released from any liability that may arise out of the User’s actions.

LaLiga shall make every effort and use all reasonable means to facilitate updated and reliable information on LaLiga’s Environment. However, LaLiga makes no any warranties as to the absence of errors, or potential inaccuracies and/or omissions for any of the contents that can be accessed through LaLiga’s Environment.

The User is the sole party liable in respect of any claims or legal action, whether judicial or extrajudicial, initiated by third parties against LaLiga, based on such User’s use of LaLiga’s Environment. Where applicable, the User shall be liable for any expenses, costs and compensation arising for LaLiga out of such claims or legal actions.

4.2. Liability for the operation of the LaLiga’s Environment

LaLiga is released from any liability that may arise out of interferences, omissions, interruptions, computer viruses, telephone failures, or disconnections of the operational functioning of the electronic system, due to causes outside LaLiga’s control.

Moreover, LaLiga is also released from any liability that may arise out of delays or blockages of the operational functioning of this system due to deficiencies or overloading of telephone lines or the Internet, and damage caused by third parties through illegitimate interferences outside LaLiga’s control.

LaLiga is authorised to temporarily suspend, with no prior warning, the access to LaLiga’s Environment, for maintenance, repairs, updates or improvement operations.

Where this LaLiga Environment page could contain links to other portals or sites of LaLiga’s Environment not managed by LaLiga, such company states that it does not exercise any control over such sites, and it is further not liable for their contents. The links that this LaLiga Environment may contain are offered by way of information, without any other type of assessment in respect of the contents, owners, services or products offered by the above.

In any case, LaLiga is released from any liability in connection with the services provided by third parties in respect of any complaints of any type and claims that may be brought in relation to the above.

5. Intellectual and industrial Property Rights

All contents of LaLiga’s Environment, save as otherwise provided, are exclusively owned by LaLiga, including but not limited to, graphic design, source code, logos, texts, graphics, illustrations, photographs, and the remaining elements in LaLiga’s Environment. Moreover, all trade names, trademarks or distinctive marks of any kind contained in LaLiga’s Environment shall be protected by Law.

LaLiga does not grant any licences or personal use authorisations to the User as concerns its intellectual and industrial property rights or any right relating to LaLiga’s Environment and the services offered therein.

Therefore, the User recognises that the reproduction, distribution, marketing, transformation and, in general, any other method of exploitation, using any procedure, of all or part of the contents of this LaLiga Environment is a breach of the intellectual and/or industrial rights of the company or the holder of the same.

The User, solely and exclusively, can use the material on this LaLiga Environment site for its personal and private use, and use for commercial ends or to incur in illicit activities is prohibited.

By virtue of the provisions laid down under Articles 8 and 32.1, paragraph two, of the Ley de Propiedad Intelectual [Law on Intellectual Property], the reproduction, distribution and public communication are expressly prohibited, including the method of making contents available, for all or part of the contents of this LaLiga Environment page, with commercial goals, on any medium and using any technical means, without gaining LaLiga’s authorisation. The User undertakes to respect the Intellectual and Industrial Property rights of LaLiga.

LaLiga undertakes to comply with these conditions and to ensure that the contents presented on its LaLiga Environment website are duly used, exercising any civil and criminal actions it is entitled to in the case of a breach or non-compliance of these rights by the User.

6. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

The relations established between LaLiga and the User shall be governed by the current provisions laid down under the applicable law and by the competent jurisdiction. However, in the case where rules provide the opportunity for the parties to submit to a given jurisdiction, LaLiga and the User, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled, shall submit any controversies and/or litigation to the Courts of the City of Madrid.


This Privacy Policy (hereinafter, the “Policy”) seeks to regulate the personal data processing activities performed by LA LIGA NACIONAL DE FÚTBOL PROFESIONAL (hereinafter, “LaLiga”) via the LaLiga.com website (hereinafter, “LaLiga.com” or the “WEBSITE”). LaLiga.com forms part of an ecosystem created by LaLiga comprising different apps and websites where each user receives a unique identifier by means of which any selection or change made to the user’s preferences in one of the apps or websites will be reflected in the rest of the LaLiga ecosystem.

It is a private sports association under the provisions of Articles 12 and 41 of Spanish Law 10/1990, of 15 October, on Sports, which is exclusively and compulsorily made up by all Public Sporting Companies and Clubs that participate in official national and professional football competitions.LaLiga is registered under entry 1 in the Professional Leagues section of the Register of Sports Associations held by the National Sports Council.

Why do we process your personal data?

 Main Purposes:

/       Provision of the services offered via the LaLiga.com environment: We hereby inform you that your personal data will be processed by LaLiga in order to facilitate, manage, maintain and control the services offered via the WEBSITE, which forms part of the online ecosystem created by LaLiga to offer you a more comprehensive experience. Furthermore, in terms of the management and maintenance of the services requested, LaLiga will process your data in an aggregated manner to prepare relevant statistics to assess the use of the WEBSITE by users, thus improving the services provided and, as a result, the experience of users.

/       FansLaLiga platform: If you decide to register on our FansLaLiga platform, we inform you that we will process your data in order to facilitate, manage, maintain and control the services we provide via our platform. In particular, we will process your data when you register for a promotion, competition, tournament or event for the purpose of managing your participation therein and keeping you duly informed.

To identify yourself on the platform, you will have the option to upload a photograph to serve as an avatar, which will be visible to all the other users on the platform. 

The legal grounds for the afore-mentioned purposes are based on performance of the services provided via the WEBSITE, governed by the terms and conditions of use of the WEBSITE.

/       Sending the regular LaLiga newsletter on its products, services, promotions and news related to its activity.

/       Managing requests for information from you via the contact forms provided for this purpose in the LaLiga environment.

The legal grounds for the afore-mentioned purposes are based on the data subject's consent for sending the LaLiga newsletter and the legitimate interest of LaLiga in responding to requests for information from its users. 

/       Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing and management of the contractual relationship: When entering into a contract with LaLiga, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of managing, maintaining and controlling the contractual relationship with the entity you represent, as well as to control access to information of a confidential nature on LaLiga.

The legal grounds for the afore-mentioned purpose is performance of the contract you maintain with LaLiga and compliance with the legal requirement established under Spanish Law 10/2010, of 28 April, on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.

/       Processing of HORECA complaints via the regularizacion@laliga.es channel provided for this purpose.

The legal grounds for the afore-mentioned purpose are based on the legitimate interest of LaLiga to process said complaints in defence of the intellectual property of the audio-visual content and to avoid piracy.

Additional Purposes

Below, the additional purposes for which LaLiga will process your personal data can be found, should you provide your consent:

/       So that LaLiga can send you commercial communications on its activities, products, services, competitions, offers and/or promotions.

So that LaLiga can send you, by any means, including commercial communications of an electronic or equivalent nature (such as email, SMS, MMS and the like), commercial communications or show you personalised recommendations about the content mentioned in the previous section above, a profile will be created based on the information it collects about you during your use of our applications and websites, as well as any information you provide. In this connection, LaLiga will conduct market studies and analyse your browsing and consumption habits regarding our services, employing profile segmentation techniques created to this end by LaLiga.

In this regard, we inform you that we use the Android and iOS advertising identifier to analyse adverts and users and display personalised advertising. This may be associated with personal identification information or other identifiers, such as persistent device identifiers (for example, SSAID, MAC address or IMEI), or any new advertising identifier. Likewise, using your profile, we will customise our advertising campaigns, creating anonymous browsing profiles, show you adverts that adjust to your preferences and measure the performance of advertising campaigns.

The legal grounds for processing your data for the afore-mentioned purposes are based on the consent you provided for the processing of your data for the selected purposes. Your personal data will be retained for these purposes until such time as you withdraw your consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time in line with the procedure set out in the section What are the user's rights when we are provided with your personal data?”, without affecting the legality of consent-based processing prior to its withdrawal.

How long do we store your personal data?

LaLiga will store your personal data for as long as the purpose for which they were gathered exists, until you withdraw your consent and/or you do not exercise your right of erasure, opposition or limitation of processing. We keep your personal data for as long as we need them for the purposes indicated in this privacy policy and to fulfil our legal obligations.

Furthermore, we hereby inform you that once the purposes for which your data were collected have been achieved, or the aforementioned rights are exercised, LaLiga will store your personal data, blocking them accordingly, for a period of five (5) years, solely in order to respond to any liability that may arise. In particular, for the purpose of the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, the personal data will remain blocked for a period of ten (10) years in order to meet the afore-mentioned responsibilities. Said personal data will be deleted when this period expires.

With whom will we share your personal data?

Your personal data will not be sent to third parties. However, LaLiga may communicate your personal data and any other user information when required to the public authorities in the performance of the duties legally attributed to them and pursuant to the applicable provisions.

Furthermore, some parties subcontracted by LaLiga may access your personal data and information as Data Administrators or Data Sub-Administrators to provide LaLiga with a necessary service.

LaLiga receives assistance from service providers. When necessary to provide you with the service, your information will be shared with our third-party service providers. These service providers sign an agreement that requires them to only use your personal data for the provision of contracted services and as set out in this policy.

What are your rights when you provide us with your personal data?

We hereby inform you that you can exercise your rights of access, amendment, opposition, erasure, portability or limitation of processing before LaLiga at any time.

What are your rights as a user?

/       Right of access: you have the right to obtain confirmation about whether LaLiga will process your personal data and access these data.

/       Right to rectification: you can ask for inaccurate personal data to be amended or rectified.

/       Right to erasure: you can ask for your personal data to be deleted.

/       Right to restriction of processing: In certain circumstances, you may ask for the processing of your data to be limited. In this case, they may only be kept for the purpose of defence against lawsuits.

/       Right to opposition: you may oppose the processing of your data for the purpose you specify. LaLiga will refrain from processing your data, unless justified on compelling legitimate grounds or to defend against possible lawsuits.

/       Right of portability: if the WEBSITE so permits, you may exercise the right to transfer your data, in a structured, commonly used and mechanical format to another data controller.

How can I exercise my rights?

When accessing and, as applicable, registering on the website, you provide your consent for the purposes for which your data have been requested, you may withdraw this consent, at any time, following the procedure established in each of the commercial communications you receive, via the Subscriptions Centre to be found in your user profile for the WEBSITE or by sending an email to: lopd@laliga.es.

The withdrawal of your consent will not affect your ability to use the service nor the legality of processing based on this consent prior to its withdrawal.
