Fernando Redondo (Argentina, 1969) is one of the most fondly remembered players in LaLiga Santander. His class in central midfield won praise from around the world.
He debuted in 1985 with the Argentinos Juniors and was with the club for five years, before he made the leap to Spain to play for CD Tenerife. In four magical seasons, Redondo became a hero for the fans and one of the most important players in the history of the club.
After four years in Santa Cruz, he moved to Real Madrid where he wore the white shirt between 1994 and 2000. At the Bernabeu, he once again demonstrated his tremendous quality and skills.
With Real Madrid, Redondo won two league titles, two Champions Leagues, an Intercontinental Cup and a Supercopa de España, while racking up 225 official games.
