Zabiri, LALIGA EA SPORTS Under-23 Player of the Month for September

Yassir Zabiri has been named LALIGA EA SPORTS Under-23 Player of the Month for September. The Real Racing Club forward has scored three more goals in this second month of the season, bringing his total tally in the 2026/27 LALIGA EA SPORTS campaign to six.

The Moroccan, who joined the Cantabrian side this season, stood out with his performance on matchday five against Deportivo Alavés, in which he scored two goals and helped Racing stage a comeback to secure a 2–1 victory at El Sardinero.

A matchday later, the striker scored again and also provided an assist in a match his team lost 7–2 to the league leaders, FC Barcelona.

Zabiri has won this award for the first time in his career, beating players such as Pau Cubarsí (FC Barcelona), Alberto Moleiro (Villarreal CF), Miguel Sierra (Sevilla FC) and Yoel Lago (Celta) in the final vote. Zabiri succeeds RCD Espanyol de Barcelona’s Javi Hernández, who won this award in August.
