To describe Cadiz CF as the consummate host would be an understatement. The Andalusian club, thanks to already having hosted LaLiga Experience last season (2021/22), didn’t take long in winning over the guests from Optus Sport Australia, Eleven Sports Belgium and ESPN Argentina and making them feel very much at home.
After the customary meets & greets, presentations and challenges upon their arrival in Cadiz, LaLiga Experience invitees were then treated to a nooks-and-crannies tour of the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, as well as the chance to watch the Cadiz CF first team put through their paces in a training session. Once the session was finished Théo Bongonda, Álvaro Negredo and Alfonso 'Pacha' Espino fielded questions from Quinten Jordens, on behalf of Belgian broadcaster Eleven Sports, Michelle Escobar from Optus Sport Australia and Luquita Rodríguez representing ESPN Argentina.
But the day wasn’t over yet, as our VIPs were taken in the afternoon to the Ciudad Deportiva Bahia de Cadiz training ground, where they met the club’s women's team and were given the chance to show off their scoring prowess in front of goal.
The following day, LaLiga Experience was visited by Riquelme, the eSports player representing Cadiz CF in eLaLiga, who took time out to test the skills of Nicholas Stavos, who proved to be very able at playing FIFA 2023!
