Levante UD and Rayo Vallecano meet on Liga BBVA matchday 22 on Saturday at 18:00.
The granotes are firing on all cylinders after wins over Málaga CF and Sevilla FC, and a draw against FC Barcelona. Their coach, Joaquín Caparrós, warned of the danger of the opponent: "Rayo is a good team, and they do not deserve to be where they are in the table, but their goals are the same as ours so it will be a very tricky match". The manager from Utrera will be without midfielders Gomis, Miguel Pallardó and Sérgio Pinto, and defenders Nikos Karampelas and Héctor Rodas.
The Madrid side, managed by Paco Jémez, will be looking for a return to winning ways, having not tasted victory since the 12th of January, when they beat Getafe CF 0-1. Jémez will not be able to select centre-back Alejandro Gálvez or strikers Seba Fernández and Alberto Perea. The Canary Islander is well aware of the importance of the match: "A victory would give us breathing space. We cannot expect them to be tired from the cup", he stated.
