“Pozas” atmosphere moves to Madrid

Over a thousand supporters of Athletic Club traveled the weekend to Madrid to see Bilbao Athletic on Saturday against Leganes in Liga Adelante, and the first team on Sunday against Rayo Vallecano.

The 'Agrupación del Norte del Athletic' has embodied this weekend the loyalty to the colors and the love for football. Bilbao Athletic and Athletic Club were going to play against CD Leganés and Rayo Vallecano, respectively, and the fans of the Basque club didn't think twice and arranged a trip to support their teams.

The trip started on Saturday at 8: 00h in Bilbao with three busloads of fans ready to enjoy with their teams. On Sunday, two more buses were joined for the Rayo Vallecano-Athletic Club match, as well as people who traveled on their own. In total, a thousand fans in Madrid lived a weekend full of football.

The hours before of the Bilbao Athletic game, the fans enjoyed a gastronomic route arranged by the Leganes Supporters Club. The result of the match was not as expected by the Agrupación del Norte, as the Basque side were defeated by 1-0.

On Sunday, the streets of Vallecas were stained in red and white. Two more buses joined the crowd which was already in the capital of Spain, in addition to private cars. "We spent the day in Vallecas, together with the fans of Rayo, which is a joy", said to LaLiga Asier, vice president of the Association.

The match at the Vallecas Stadium itself that made them smile. The "Leones" won 0-3 against Paco Jemez´s Rayo. The three points were taken to Bilbao and fans of the Association witnessed it.

This is the first trip of the season organized by the "Agrupación del Norte del Athletic", which is divided into nine geographical areas. The fondness for the colors goes further and in this occasion has made that one thousand people were willing to travel more than 800 km on a weekend.
