Lugo joins the fight for promotion

CD Lugo beat Real Zaragoza 1-0 on matchday 25 of the Liga Adelante. The result means that the Galicians are back in the winners' circle and now occupy the playoff zone. For their part, the visitors are still in the fight for promotion despite their defeat in the Ángel Carro.

Lugo had the upper-hand throughout the match, creating more danger in the visitors' area with some great moves from Pablo García and Sergio Rodríguez set up a number of chances. Vincenzo Rennella had the best opportunity to take the lead shortly before half time and he was unlucky not to break the deadlock.

The match continued in a similar vein in the second half and Quique Setién's men continued to bombard Leo Franco. Finally, in the 60th minute, Víctor Marco made it 1-0 with a header that gave the home team victory despite Zaragoza's late burst of intensity.
