Twelve points keep apart the first place of the bottom in Liga Adelante standings, the distance that marks to those who are fighting for promotion and those who are suffering to keep the category. Parity reigns in a competition in which just four games is the distance between promotion and relegation.
Currently, At. Osasuna is in first place with 20 points while UD Almería and Bilbao Athletic are in the last two positions with 8. The difference between the noble zone and the bottom area becomes smaller if it takes into account the distance with the teams in play-off places. In this case, AD Alcorcón, Real Zaragoza, Deportivo Alavés and Gimnástic are level on 16 points, just eight points from the teams that are in the relegation places.
In the case of Liga BBVA, there are 15 points of difference between the leader and the last place, higher than that Liga Adelante and which is repeated in the major European leagues. In England, Manchester City leads the Premier League with 18 points ahead of Aston Villa and Brighton does the same in the Championship with a difference of 20 points.
In Italy, there are 15 points between the first and last place in Serie A and 14 in Serie B. Figures in Germany show a difference of 25 points between Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga 1 and of 18 points between first and last in Bundesliga 2. In France, the difference is of 25 points in Ligue 1 and is reduced to 22 in the Ligue 2, a very distant figures of the reigning equality in Liga Adelante.
