The LFP World Challenge series begins in Asia with the first games in the Time of Challenge stage (promotional matches), which in each city will take place alongside the Spain Experience, business events held in parallel that were strategically selected by ICEX.

Sevilla FC will play on Thursday 22 with an 8.30 pm kick-off (3.30 pm in Spain) against PBR in Bandung, Indonesia. On 26 May they will travel to Malaysia to face Selangor FA in Kuala Lumpur.

China will host the next events, with Valencia CF and Villarreal CF heading the bill. The two teams will play in a triangular tournament in Hong Kong on 28 May along with the Hong Kong Rangers.

Marcelino García Toral’s side will then continue the tour with a match in Changsha on 31 May against Guangzhou Fuli, and another in Shanghai on 2 June versus Shanghai Shenxin FC. All the games will be shown on La Liga TV.

Shanghai will be the final stop of the tour, which will also involve the Spanish national women’s water polo team, the current world champions (Barcelona 2013) and Olympic silver-medallists (London 2012), who will play against China. This match is part of the LFP World Challenge’s initiative to support other Spanish sports federations.

All the games will take place alongside the Spain Experience events, providing a meeting point and venue for forging business relationship between Spanish companies and each of the countries, spearheaded by the LFP World Challenge ambassador, Augusto César Lendoiro.
