Juan Carlos named LaLiga 1l2l3 Player of the Month for January

CD Lugo goalkeeper Juan Carlos has been named the LaLiga 1|2|3 Player of the Month for January. The 30-year-old custodian has won the award after accomplishing an incredible feat – scoring a goal from inside his own half. 

What happened in the 80th minute of CD Lugo vs R. Sporting will live long in the memory of LaLiga 1l2l3 fans. It was during this minute that Lugo goalkeeper Juan Carlos received a pass from a teammate, then, taking aim from deep inside Lugo's half of the field, launched a rocket of a shot that managed to find its way into the back of the Sporting net. Thanks to this incredible strike, Juan Carlos has gone down in footballing folklore. 

This goal soon went viral, and in recognition of his achievement LaLiga has handed Juan Carlos the LaLiga 1l2l3 Player of the Month for January award.

This season, LaLiga has added a new dimension to the awarding of the Player of the Month accolade, bringing fans closer to the action of the best league in the world. This will see Juan Carlos collect the award in front of the Anxo Carro faithful, before Lugo's clash with FC Barcelona B this coming Sunday.
