Diego Simeone named LaLiga Santander Manager of the Month for March

Diego Simeone picked up the LaLiga Santander Manager of the Month award for March, with Atletico Madrid recording some wonderful results that saw them leapfrog Sevilla FC into third place.

Three crucial victories at home to Valencia CF (3-0) and Sevilla (3-1), as well as away to Granada CF (1-0), combined with a point away to RC Deportivo (1-1), were enough for Los Rojiblancos to move up from fourth to third. Atletico's goalscoring statistics in March also made for pleasant reading, with the club notching eight and only conceding two goals in four games.

This accolade, which is awarded by Santander, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers, was handed out by D. Pedro Sanchez Gonzalez on behalf of Banco Santander.
