Adolfo Suárez González (1932-2014) passed away on the 23rd of March in Madrid at 81 years of age. Suárez was president of the Spanish Government from July 1976 until the 29th of January 1981, time during which he led Spain’s transition to democracy.
In addition, as a well-known sports fan and football lover, Adolfo Suárez was named the 30,000th member of RC Deportivo de La Coruña. The president of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, Javier Tebas, as well as the Board of Directors would like to send its condolences and support to his loved ones.
