Sevilla are through to the final of the UEFA Europa League despite losing 3-1 to Valencia in the second leg of the sides' semi-final tie, having taken a 2-0 lead in the first leg. A Stéphane M'Bia goal late into injury time earned Unai Emery's team a place in the final to the determent of Los Ché, who were on the verge of recording an impressive fight back from behind.

The home side was excellent throughout the first half, and managed to level the scoreline with two goals. Sofiane Feghouli opened the scoring in the 14th minute after beating a defender in the box before sending the ball to the back of the net with his left foot. Soon after, in the 26th minute, Juan Antonio Pizzi's men made it 2-0 thanks to a Jonas Gonçalves header that made its way in after coming off the crossbar and then bouncing off the Sevilla goalkeeper’s back.

Valencia's exploits seemed to be rewarded when Jérémy Mathieu scored in the 70th minute. But with Mestalla still in raptors, the Andalusians booked their place in the final courtesy of a M'Bia goal just before the final whistle.

As a result, Sevilla will fight it out in Turin on the 14th of May against Benfica, who got past Juventus 2-1 on aggregate in the other semi-final.
