The 9th LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament returns to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, October 10th-12th

LALIGA teams taking part include Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal CF, Athletic Club, FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Sevilla FC and Valencia CF

- For the fourth consecutive year, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex located at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida will be the venue for the 9th LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament. Eight LALIGA sides and six invited international clubs will face off in the tournament, which blends the best of Spanish and global football talent at the U13 level, between Friday 10th and Sunday 12th October.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort will once again host the tournament following the extension of the landmark agreement between LALIGA and ESPN. This milestone agreement builds on the creation of LALIGA North America, a joint venture between LALIGA and Relevent Sports launched in 2018, which aims to drive the growth of soccer in the United States and bring LALIGA, its clubs and players closer to U.S. fans.

The LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament, co-organized by LALIGA and the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation, will be broadcast live in Spain on GOL, DAZN LALIGA, Movistar LALIGA TV, Vamos, LALIGA TV BAR and LALIGA+ Inside. Internationally, it will air via LALIGA’s international channel, as well as across LALIGA’s official accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch and TikTok. In China, fans can follow the tournament on Bilibili and Weibo,

while in the United States, the tournament will be broadcast live on ESPN+, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN U.

The teams will be divided into four groups, as follows:

-Group A: Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal CF and Athletic Club

-Group B: CR Flamengo, SE Palmeiras and Orlando City

-Group C: CF Monterrey, Miami Rush and Inter Miami

-Group D: FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Sevilla FC and Valencia CF

Matches will kick off on Friday 10th October at 9am local time (3pm CEST). On Saturday, the matches will start at 9am local time (3pm CEST), with the first semi-final taking place at 7pm local time. The final will be played on Sunday at 10am (4pm CEST).

LALIGA FC FUTURES has become well known for bringing together the very best academy players from across the planet and has been a rite of passage for many stars of the global game. Xavi (1992), Iker Casillas (1993), Santi Cazorla (1995), Andrés Iniesta (1996), Fernando Torres (1996), Gerard Piqué (1999), Jordi Alba (2001), Gerard Moreno (2004), Marco Asensio (2008), Gavi (2016) and most recently Lamine Yamal (2019) are just a handful of the elite players who took part in the tournament on their way to stardom.
