La Rosaleda will host an Andalusian derby in which Málaga CF will have one last throw of the dice as they look to move into seventh. Standing in their way is a Sevilla FC side with its mind already set on Europe. The visitors, who play the UEFA Europa League final on Wednesday 27 May, are just one point behind fourth-placed Valencia CF.
Team news
The Costa del Sol outfit will be missing Sergi Darder, who is suspended, as well as the injured Miguel Torres for this encounter, however, Samuel García, who pulled out of last weekend's game at the last minute, makes his way back into the squad. Meanwhile, los rojiblancos will also be without two of their players for this clash, as both Sebastian Cristóforo and Nico Pareja are carrying injuries.
Views from the dugouts
Javi Gracia, the Málaga CF coach, hopes to close out the season in positive fashion: "We want to finish out with a good taste in our mouths and by putting on a show for our supporters". The Sevilla boss, Unai Emery, wants his players to keep their focus for what is still at stake in the Liga BBVA: "We need to win, nothing and nobody can get in the way of that. We'll see how Valencia get on once the final whistle is blown. I won't be paying attention to that game, but we’ll know what the result is".
