Sevilla FC continued their hot streak by beating UD Almería on Liga BBVA matchday 18. With goals from Vicente Iborra and Coke Andújar, Unai Emery's men added an eleventh victory to climb up to fourth place with 36 points; Juan Ignacio Martínez's side, for their part, are provisionally in 16th place with 16.
It was a very cagey first half, where neither team had many clear chances to find the net. Wellington Silva and Edgar Méndez were Almería's liveliest players, creating danger with their skill and pace on the wings, but they failed to trouble Beto's goal. For the Andalusians, Nico Pareja proved instrumental in curbing the home team's advances, while José Antonio Reyes and Carlos Bacca also had their chances but failed to convert.
It was all change in the second half and Sevilla managed to finish their opponents off with five outstanding minutes of play. Iborra opened the way for an away win when the clock read 58, beating Julián Cuesta with an extraordinary effort from outside the box. Then, after 63 minutes, Coke latched on to a rebound from Almería's keeper to make it 0-2 and give the home side an uphill task. Although JIM's men fought until the end to turn the match around, Sevilla made sure they took all three points home with them to Nervión.
