LALIGA held its Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly today, during which the 42 clubs were presented with the consolidated annual accounts for the 2024/25 season, along with the proposed income and expenditure budget for 2025/26. Both items were submitted to a vote and approved with broad support from the clubs, in accordance with the provisions of LALIGA’s Corporate Bylaws.
The proposed budget for the 2025/26 season received 85.7% approval in the weighted vote, equivalent to 38.6 votes in favour, with 4.2 abstentions and 2.2 votes against.
Meanwhile, the expenditure budget was approved with 39.6 votes in favour, representing 88% support, with 2.2 abstentions and 2.2 votes against.
This outcome reflects the strong consensus among the clubs around LALIGA’s financial strategy, reinforcing the economic solidity of the collective project.
LALIGA President Javier Tebas stated: “The overwhelming support from the clubs demonstrates the strength of our model and their confidence in LALIGA’s financial management. We will continue to work responsibly and with a long-term vision to build a solid and sustainable future.”
In keeping with standard LALIGA Assemblies procedures, the vote was carried out using a secure electronic secret ballot system, guaranteeing the autonomy and free decision-making of each club
