Five things you might didn’t know about Angel Carro Stadium

• The stadium was opened on August 31, 1974 with an initial capacity for 5,000 spectators. 

• It is located in one of Miño river banks. 

• It opened with a three-team tournament between CD Lugo, Monforte de Lemos and RC Deportivo La Coruña. In the opening match, the side from Lugo won 1-0 to Monforte de Lemos. 

• Its field dimensions of 105 by 70 meters, making it the fifth stadium with the largest field of play in Spain after Martinez Valero, Ciutat de Valencia , La Romareda , Iberostar Estadio and Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez . 

• It is named after Angel Carro, who was responsible for ordering its construction and was known as one of the great promoters of sports in the city,
